How to use this tool?

FAQ & troubleshooting

Can I lock the aspect ratio while cropping?

Yes! Click any preset ratio button to lock the crop to that aspect ratio. The crop area will maintain that ratio as you drag the handles. Click "Free" to unlock.

What does the "Free" preset do?

The "Free" preset removes all aspect ratio constraints, allowing you to crop to any width and height you want. Perfect for custom sizes.

Can I undo or reset the crop?

Click "Start Over" to reload the original image and begin a new crop. Your original image is never modified.

What file format is the cropped image saved as?

Cropped images are saved as PNG to preserve quality. If you need a different format (JPEG, WebP), use our Format Converter tool after cropping.

Can I crop multiple images at once?

Currently you crop one image at a time. Batch cropping for multiple files is coming in v2 of the tool.

Where does my image data go?

Your image is processed entirely in your browser during cropping. It is never uploaded to our servers. After you download your cropped image, temporary data is automatically deleted from our servers after one hour of inactivity.
